Nike have once again used Wayne Rooney in one of their adverts, despite all the controversy surrounding him during the summer. Accompanied by Rory Mcilroy and with a cameo appearance from “fat” Ronaldo, it isn’t short of celebrity endorsement.
The advert sees Wayne vs Rory in a game of golf, with a twist and sense of humour. As McIlroy is using his VRS Covert 2.0 driver, Rooney wearing his trademark Hypervenom boots as he attempts to find the flag using the new Nike Ordem football. This advert’s message is clear: Nike have a new football and it is more accurate and better than ever and what a way to show it!
With the advert already reaching over 1.2 million views in 4 days, there’s no doubt it is going to be one of the most shared videos this week, therefore being another successful advert for Nike.
